Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aguila Saleh, on Wednesday, called on accelerating holding the constitutional referendum process.
Saleh’s demand was included in a letter sent to the head of the Libyan electoral commission Imad al sa’eh. Aguila called on the commission to take all necessary measures to hold a referendum on the country’s constitution as soon as possible.
In November, Libya’s HoR referred the referendum law to the electoral commission, as the presidential and parliamentarian elections are awaited by 2019’s spring.
