Made in Egypt exhibition to be held in Benghazi in April

An exhibition titled “Made in Egypt” will be held in Benghazi in April to display Egyptian products as part of joint cooperation between Libya and Egypt.

The announcement was made during a Tuesday meeting at Cairo Chamber of Commerce, bringing together a delegation of the Libyan Businessmen Council (LBC), Treasurer of Cairo Chamber Salah El-Abd and Chief of the Division of Egyptian labor abroad at Cairo Chamber of Commerce Hamdy Imam.

During the meeting, they highlighted the cooperation between the two countries to reconstruct Benghazi.

El-Abd said Egypt studies the possibility to export the products needed for the construction to Libya.

LBC is working with the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce to organize the “Made in Egypt” exhibition in its first round, Mohamed bin Ghazi, spokesperson for the Benghazi branch of LBC, said in September 2018.

Bin Ghazi added that the aim of organizing this exhibition, in which 100 Egyptian companies will participate, is to integrate and deepen the presence Egyptian industry in the bordering city of Benghazi.

The exhibition will bring about many economic benefits by contributing to the reopening of the Libyan market for Egyptian products, he continued.
