CBL governor meets French Amb. over boosting bilateral ties

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) in Tripoli, Saddek El-Kaber, met with the French Ambassador to Libya, Béatrice le Fraper du Hellen, on Wednesday to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations.

During the meeting, they tackled several issues of mutual interest and the positive impacts of the French embassy’s return to Libya.

The officials also discussed enhancing cooperation in the field of banking training to improve the skills of Libyan employees in the banking sector.

The French ambassador for her part asked about the Libyan economic reforms, pointing out the importance of these reforms and their expected impact once they are implemented in improving citizens’ lives.

In September 2018, the French government has appointed Du Hellen, who was the ambassador to Malta, as their new representative to Libya.
