Tunisia’s Club Africain defeated Algeria’s CS Constantaine 1-0 in the fourth match of CAF Champions League’s group stage at the Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui in Algeria on Friday evening.
This win kept the Tunisian giants’ qualification hopes on the condition that they win their next two games in Group C.
Africain remained third on the table, while Algeria’s Constantaine also remained at the top of the standings.
The visitors pushed for the opening goal and they managed to break the deadlock before halftime. Compaore put Africain into the lead and the visitors were leading 1-0 at the interval.
Constantine struggled and had many chances but failed to beat Africain’s experienced goalkeeper Aymen Mathlouthi.
