University of Ajdabiya celebrated on Saturday its entry in the World University Rankings for 2019.
The university held a ceremony on campus and it was attended by many public figures in the city, as well as university staff, employees, and students.
The president of the university, a member of the Municipal Council of Ajdabiya, and the head of the university’s website gave speeches at the ceremony.
The deans of the university’s 11 faculties and the director of the Information and Documentation Center briefed the attendees about the activities and achievements of the university.
On this occasion, the university launched its new logo and the logos of its 11 faculties.
This year’s list of the best universities in the world is led by the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge for the second year in a row. The University of Ajdabiya now ranks 28139.
Overall, 86 countries are represented, including Iraq, Jamaica, Nepal, Tanzania, and Kazakhstan for the first time.
