Armed groups attacks Tamanhint Airbase, 4 killed

An armed group attacked Tamanhint Airbase 4 kilometres southeast of Sabha, Thursday morning. Clashes erupted between the armed group and security forces affiliated with the Interim Government’s Interior Ministry.

Four people were reported to be dead, several others were injured.

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced Thursday that around 205 people have been killed, including 18 civilians, and 913 others have been wounded two weeks since the beginning of the war in Tripoli.

Shells have hit Tripoli as General Commander of Libyan National Army (LNA) Khalifa Haftar tries to take Tripoli from the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA).

On Tuesday, shells slammed a Tripoli populated district as about 10 GRAD rockets hit the southern residential area of Abu Salim just before midnight on Tuesday, killing 7 people and wounding 17 others.

Due to this deteriorating situation, the International Criminal Court warned the rival parties of commiting crimes within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.

“I will not hesitate to expand my investigations and potential prosecutions to cover any new instances of crimes falling within the Court’s jurisdiction, with full respect for the principle of complementarity. No one should doubt my determination in this regard,” Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensoud, said
