LNA controls Khallet al-Furjan south of Tripoli

The Libyan National Army (LNA) has controlled Khallet al-Furjan, an area south of Tripoli, the LNA’s Western Operations Room announced Wednesday.

On Wednesday, LNA spokesperson Ahmed al-Mismari said the eastern army is making progress towards Tripoli without facing any difficulty.

He added that the air force of the LNA carried out an air strike on stores of weapons, ammunition and fuel in Gharyan and is ready to respond to any attack throughout Libya.

On Monday, director of the LNA Karama Operation Room Khaled al-Mahjoub declared that the war in Tripoli is about to “come to an end” as the LNA has mobilised its forces to liberate the capital.

In a statement to Sputnik news, Brigadier General Mahjoub added that the LNA special forces were sent to the outskirts of Tripoli to lead the upcoming battles, explaining that this step indicates the final stage of the Tripoli war.
