Italian newspaper: Libya’s GNA preparing Gharyan-like attack

The Italian newspaper (Difesa e Sicurezza) unveiled that the Government of National Accord (GNA) had sent surprising military backup to southern Tripoli despite the relative calm in there, adding that such backup movements mean that the GNA is preparing an attack that is similar to that of Gharyan.

According to the newspaper, the Libyan National Army (LNA) stopped fighting because of the shortages of of fuel and ammunition as well as due to the LNA’s failure in getting past the GNA’s defenses.

“The Libyan National Army is focusing its attacks on Misrata and Murzuq. The locations targeted by the LNA’s Air Force in Misrata were bases used by GNA forces for the drones that are intended to cut supplies’ lines of the LNA.” The newspaper explained.

It added that the LNA’s concentration on Murzuq aims to secure the southern region against the attacks that pose threats to the civilians’ lives, to kick out the invaders and to end the presence of the foreigners.
