International oil firm keen on resuming operations in Libya

Halliburton oil services company, which operates in 120 countries around the world, said it will be resuming work in Libya.

This announcement came in an expanded meeting for the CEO of Sirte Company for Distributing Oil & Gas and Vice Chairman of Halliburton and the company’s Libya Director Motaza Yousef.

Sirte Company indicated on Facebook that the meeting went over the resumption of Halliburton’s activities in Libya as the company expressed returning to operations in Libya after security risks had eased in areas of its work.

The company’s Vice Chairman told the media office of Sirte Company that the resumption of operations in Libya is a good opportunity and that they are eager to return to the country and cooperate with Libya’s energy sector in oil services.

In the meantime, better security status at the oil terminals in Libya has been a very crucial factor in attracting foreign firms back to operate in the country.
