Muslim Brotherhood: Brainwashing “Soft Minds”

London-based Al-Majala magazine has published a report titled “Muslim Brotherhood is more dangerous than ISIS to Arab and Muslim societies” depicting the methods used by Muslim Brotherhood Group to expand its influence and ideology.

Expansion through the elite

The former deputy chief of Egyptian Intelligence, General Mohammed Rashad, said Muslim Brotherhood leaderships had been focusing on individuals like doctors, teachers, and university professors in order to use them to lure the simple-minded as they are in direct contact with large social groups.

He added that Muslim Brotherhood took advantage of such influential individuals in different countries, including Egypt, by making them provide the poor and needy with services to gain their loyalties and create a public support.

Targeting soft minds

The founder of Islamic Jihad Movement Nabil Naiem said using the teachers and professors by Muslim Brotherhood Group is an attempt to control the upcoming generations as the students would be affected and influenced by what they are taught in educational institutions and thus the group guarantees more loyalties to its popular basis, yet posing greater threats to societies.

Over the last years, Muslim Brotherhood was focusing on building schools in different cities across Egypt to spread their ideology, said Naiem.

Exporting soft side

Researcher of Islamist movements’ affairs, Ali Muqlad, said “Soft Power” is the most dangerous weapon of the Muslim Brotherhood Group as it has been using it to spread its ideology to youths for about 90 years.

“Muslim Brotherhood kills in one hand and wipes the blood in the other. They have been building schools and educational institutions as well as media outlets with the mask of civilian life and peace but in fact they were using them as a way to spread the ideology in societies.” Muqlad added.

Funding sources

The question is here about the funding Muslim Brotherhood Group is receiving given the massive institutions the group owns.

Muqlad said the group has “mercurial funding sources” linked with the treasuries of over 70 countries and secret bank accounts in states that have easy banking restrictions.

The financial support received by Muslim Brotherhood Group doubles up its perils that include its ties to regional and international intelligence agencies, which means that it can influence sensitive databases in security departments around the world and scaled its influence at large.
