Libya’s GNA Interior Minister sends “cover-up terrorist list” to Interpol

The Interior Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Fathi Bashagha is going to send “List B” that includes 56 names – some of whom are terrorists and others are former regime officials and smugglers – to the Interpol, 218TV has learned.

These details complement 218TV previous reports about the fact that Bashagha was preparing files of terrorists said to be jailed at Mitiga Prison in Tripoli in order to present them to Germany and France’s governments in an attempt to cast out all associations of the GNA with wanted militants whom reports say are fighting alongside its armed groups.

The list gives better details about GNA’s intentions as the names include the terrorist Abdelbasit Azzouz, Muammar Gaddafi’s son Saif Al-Islam, former Interior Security Department’s Chief Al-Tuhami Khalid and others convicted of terrorism and smuggling.

In the meantime, no statements were made by either the Interior Ministry or Presidential Council, which means Bashagha is hoping to get the support of the international community through his list and also end the embarrassment of GNA after many reports saying terrorists and fugitives are fighting for its armed groups in the ongoing fighting.

According to observers, this comes amid a heightened conflict among armed groups under GNA’s command, let alone the reports that said delegations from some armed groups have been asking for meetings with Libyan National Army’s officials in order to put an end to the conflict that has only led to destruction and casualties among Libyans.
