A million oil barrels shipped from Libya to Asian partner

A maritime source has told 218TV that an oil tanker loaded Thursday 600.000 barrels of oil from Ras Lanuf port and then arrived in Zueitina terminal to load 400.000 barrels to be eventually shipped to China, which is considered by the National Oil Corporation (NOC) as a traditional oil sector partner.

The NOC said eaier that the oil revenue of the country in last July totaled 2.1 billion US dollars – an increase of 403 million dollars (23%) from last June.

Despite the deteriorating security and political conditions in Libya, the oil sector and its production as well as exports are somehow stable with so many fears in world markets over the last period of seeing the oil industry in Libya slid into the war and thus further damage the country’s economy, given the current political division.
