Libyan Central Bank: Libyans are circulating billions outside banking systems

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) has issued new data about the second quarter of 2019, saying inflation for the second quarter reached 7.3% and that the cash flow circulated outside the banking system hit 126 million Libyan dinars compared to the first quarter’s figure of 36.369 million dinars, without adding details about the bank notes printed by the CBL in Al-Bayda.

The CBL’s data also indicates that Turkey is the top exporter to Libya for the last year with about 2.45 billion dinars, while the UAE came second with 1.972 billion dinars.

China came third in the exporters to Libya’s list with 1.955 billion dinars in 2018.
