Al-Mahjoub: Libya won’t be “scapegoat” for Erdogan’s allies

Turkey is still playing games in Libya by providing massive support for the armed groups of the Government of National Accord (GNA) to fight the Libyan National Army (LNA) and, hence; end all hopes of stability in the country.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has prioritized draining the Libyan state funds in order to guarantee that the armed groups remain in action in the Tripoli fighting against the LNA, said the Head of Moral Motivation Apparatus Khalid Al-Mahjoub.

Al-Mahjoub added that Turkey has become a major party in the war in Tripoli and is trying to rescue the Islmist allies of Erdogan, who are in a big trouble that could lead to their defeat in Libya.

“LNA airstrikes in the last days concentrated on vital locations of the GNA armed groups, which suffered massive losses that led to the escape of some of their senior commanders. The LNA is still in control of the general military status. “Al-Mahjoub told Al-Ittihad newspaper.

Turkey’s policy of seizing opportunities at the expense of stability and peace in other countries is not new as it has been supporting radicals in Derna and Benghazi before it moved to support armed groups fighting against LNA in Tripoli, where Erdogan sees a chance to strengthen his country’s shaken economy and straighten up his image in his own party.
