GNA’s injured fighters protest at the Libyan embassy in Tunisia

Several injured fighters for the armed groups of the Government of National Accord (GNA) organized Wednesday a protest in front of the Libyan embassy in Tunisia, complaining about “bad medical conditions at Tunisian clinics”.

Some of the protesters, who showed remarkable outrage at their conditions, said they were kicked out of hotels because of delayed payments for their rooms without any actions taken by the GNA, especially the Crisis Committee that was formed last April.

The protesters added that they were lodged in medical facilities that have very low conditions and services, accusing several officials of corruption and embezzlement at the expense of the wellbeing and health of the injured fighters.

This protest comes after many complaints made by GNA armed groups’ fighters via online posts and footage. They complained about the inaction of GNA toward their needs and the delay of payments for their residences and medical treatments.

The complaints also included lack of action by the GNA as it did not send the injured fighters to other countries for better medical treatment such as Germany, which they said would be better than Tunisia.
