The ex-envoy of the US to Libya, Jonathan Winer, has described the Egyptian vision for security in Libya is realistic since the country is suffering from terrorist attacks and terrorists’ infiltration from other areas.
Winer said Egypt is working on finding a solution to the Libyan crisis by securing its borders with Libya, which is essential to the stability of both countries.
Speaking at a conference organized by the Middle East Institute in Washington in cooperation with the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies, Winer said attempts of Muslim Brotherhood to seize power in Libya won’t succeed, adding that stability is essential for Libya not to totally slid into an all-out civil war.
