Ghannouchi: Ennahdha’s loss in elections could lead Tunisia to the unknown

The speech of the Head of Tunisian Ennahdha Party, Rached Ghannouchi, shows fears of losing the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 06, which would endanger his political future especially after the loss of the party’s presidential candidate.

After the setback of the loss of Abdelfattah Mourou in the first presidential elections round, Ghannouchi is on edge now and his speeches for his followers and loyalists have had implications of threats and warning of an unknown fate for Tunisia if Ennahdha Party didn’t win.

He broke away with the accord rhetoric and started the religious one, focusing on possible chaos that could happen if the party loses elections, blaming Nidaa Tunis for all the conditions of Tunsia over the last years since 2014.

In Sfax, Ghannouchi hit the peak of his incitement as he took a swing at the other parties and independent candidates, saying Tunisia is in a predicament that it either becomes a democratic and Islamic country if his party wins or has an unknown future if others parties or Independent candidates win.

Ghannouchi’s speech had lots of political messages showing the frustration and instability at the party that fears for its political future in Tunisia, hence; becoming preoccupied with the fact that his party and himself could be held accountable for their role in the status quo of the last eight years in Tunisia.
