Tunisia, Britain support urgent ceasefire in Libya

The United Kingdom and Tunisia have both expressed support for a ceasefire and return of the political process in Libya under the auspices of the UNSMIL in order to regain stability in the country.

In a joint statement following a Tunisian-British Forum, the two countries cited the continuous threat posed by terrorist groups, including ISIS, to the UK and Tunisia.

The two countries also agreed on expanding security cooperation in fighting terrorism and other security challenges.

They signed and well trade agreements and agreed on establishing a working committee for different investment projects and a project funded by the UK to improve the Tunisian Stock Market.

According to the statement, the two countries agreed on cooperation in development and economic fields, starting with sending UK development experts to Tunis before the end of this year.
