Libya’s Interim Government reviews mechanisms to back up LNA forces

The Prime Minister of the Libyan Interim Government Abdullah Al-Thini reiterated Tuesday the significance of establishing a mechanism for supporting the Libyan National Army forces on all frontlines in western Libya, in addition to securing the locations that have been liberated.

These remarks came in a meeting for Al-Thini with the deputy minister of the interior of the Interim Government in western Libya, Al-Bahlool Al-Sayd, in Benghazi.

The Interim Government said in a statement that Al-Thini reviewed the security preparedness of the Interior Ministry in the west of Libya and the work of the security directorates under the Interim Government’s command in the region.

The statement added that the two officials discussed as well providing necessary equipment for the security directorates of the Interim Government in western Libya.
