Tunisia awaits a new president

Tunisians have started Sunday morning voting in the second round of presidential elections to choose either Kais Saied and Nabil Karaoui.

This comes after voting abroad for Tunisians closed on Saturday with modest percentage of participation at 12.13% (35820 voters across the world) according to the Independent High Elections Commission.

The Chairman of the Commission, Nabil Bufon, said the percentage is very close to the one of the first round and parliamentary elections, adding that that the law allows three days for the announcement of results, yet he said they could be announced on Monday or Tuesday.

The two candidates have been presented as out-of-politics persons and their different minds were spoken in the latest debate, which created a bit of division amid Tunisia voters to raise the competition as to who would be the president of Tunisia!
