The vision of Kais Saied for the Libyan crisis is not so different from the general Tunisian vision and the previously proposed initiatives by Tunisian presidency and foreign ministry.
According to exit polls and tweets by Nabil Karaoui, Kais Saied – constitutional law professor – will be the president of Tunisia as the second elected president after 2011 revolution.
Earlier, Saied told 218News that Libya should be committed to the UN Security Council resolutions and international conventions, adding that it’s time many parties took their hands off Libya so Libyans can decide their own fate.
Saied’s statement is similar to the essence of Tunisia’s vision during the time of the former deceased president Beji Caid Essebsi as well as the tripartite initiative of Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt.
Tunisians know that the solution in Libya should be political without excluding any party as it’s the best for Libyans and for the policy of Tunisia in the region.
