Egypt, Germany see eye to eye on solutions to Libya’s crisis

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el Sisi discussed Tuesday with the German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in Cairo the ongoing conflict in Libya and the possible solutions to end the crisis.

The spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Radi said el Sisi and Maas agreed on doubling efforts between Egypt and Germany to solve the Libyan crisis.

They also said that any solution should have comprehensive effects and end the crisis in full, not in parts, so terrorism can be terminated in Libya, its resources can be kept safe and foreign interventions can be halted.

The spokesman added that the discussions also reviewed different issues of joint interests and they agreed on consultation to face the challenges of the region.
