The member of the High Council of State Mohammed Emazeb said a ceasefire in Tripoli is tied to the acceptance of the warring parties.
Emazeb told Sputnik on Sunday that the leaders in the battlefield have qualms about either party boosting its military presence and capabilities, so they are looking for assurances with the ceasefire, adding that the ceasefire will help pave the way for political action.
The German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, meanwhile; renewed his country’s keenness to hold Berlin international conference on Libya, saying Germany backs up the UN action plan for solutions in Libya and that the conference hasn’t been given a specific date yet due to differences regarding the participants.
