After six years, perpetrators of “Gargour Massacre” still unpunished

November 15 2013 was very tough for Libyans in Tripoli as the armed factions in there showed merciless behavior and controlled everything in the name of freedom and justice.

Gargour incident is now in its sixth year commemoration. An incident that was very atrocious as it happened after a peaceful protest by Tripoli residents who started on foot from Al-Quds Mosque toward Gargour area, where many armed groups from Misrata city were positioned, calling on them to get our of the capital as per an ordinance that says all armed groups should leave Tripoli and all arms should be handed over to authorities.

Once the protesters arrived in Gargour, they were met with bullets by the armed groups positioned in there, hence; causing scores of deaths and hundreds of injuries.

It was a very tragic day for all Libayans who remember it now six years after it took place, seeing their capital still under the authority of armed groups, let alone the agonies and pain of the families of the Gargour victims as the perpetrators are still at large.
