284 illegal immigrants rescued and sent to Tripoli port

The Libyan coastguards have rescued 284 illegal immigrants in four separate operations I’m northern Abu Kammash, Garabulli, Tripoli and Al-Zawiya.

In a statement, the Coast Guard said its “Fezzan” boat carried out the rescue operations after receiving distress calls while it was patrolling the waters.

The Libyan Coast Guard’s boat transferred the illegal immigrants to the port of Tripoli, where they were provided with the necessary assistance.

The statement hailed the cooperation of the Anti Illegal Immigration Authority with the coastguards in disembarking the immigrants.
