The German news agency has announced that the date of the upcoming international conference on Libya in Berlin will be set after a high profile diplomatic preparatory meeting, which is going to be held in mid-December.
The news agency said it is possible that the Berlin conference will be held by the beginning of 2020, citing sources as saying that the meeting is definitely going to be held but more time is needed and that will happen starting next year.
218News has learned from well-informed diplomatic sources that there is still an international “gap” among the parties that attended the fourth preparatory meeting in Berlin last Wednesday.
The sources added that there is also some kind of commong ground and agreement among international parties, which was the only positive result out of the fourth preparatory meeting.
