The Libyan National Army has been ranked 77 on the world ranking list of armies, which included 137 ones as per the Global Fire Power website that tackles military studies.
The LNA has retreated 3 ranks as compared to last year’s ranking (74) globally and (9) among African armies.
US army came first, Russian army second and the Chinese army came third on the global list, while Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Algeria’s armies were ranked top three among Arab armies.
The ranking relied on the number of army personnel, troops ready for combat, arming types, geography of the countries, their natural resources, defense budgets, and populations.
The US-based Global Fire Power organization is specialized in ranking global armies and provides in-depth data about them.
