Legal action underway to revoke MoUs signed by Libya’s GNA and Turkey

Legal activist Abdelhafid Mannae has devised a legal document to be presented at the administrative division of the Appeals Court in Al-Bayda regarding the MoUs signed by Libya’s Government of National Accord and Turkey in maritime boundaries.

Mannae told Al-Ain news agency that the agreement between Fayez Al-Sarraj and Recep Tayyip Erdogan is void due to a huge lack of specialization on the signatories’ sides.

He also called for annulling the two MoUs as they violate the law, saying the Supreme Court had said within the administrative appeal that the agreement can be cancelled if there were lack of specialization or violation of law.

The court explained that the lack of specialization includes the fact that a government or an authority has usurped power or assumed power via illegitimate ways.
