Fuel tank at Tripoli Road storage location damaged

Brega oil and gas marketing company said Saturday a diesel fuel tank “No.120” on Tripoli Airport was damaged.

The company indicated that the tank was damaged by gunfire and diesel fuel was seeing leaking, adding that its teams contained the leakage for the safety of all staffers and neighbors of the tanks location on Tripoli Airport Road.

“We condemn such attacks against the fuel tanks and we denounce the danger out staffers are put through due to the ongoing clashes nearby.” The company said.

Days ago, Brega company said it was carrying out an evacuation plan of all depots on Airport Road due to the intense clashes nearby the fuel tanks and for the safety of its workers. However, it reopened the tanks location on the second day of the announcement.

The National Oil Corporation called on all warring parties to stay away from its facilities as they are vital for all Libyans and for the safety of its workers.
