Al-Mismari details Dawoon incident near Tarhouna, says “GNA was reckles”

The spokesman for the Libyan National Army (LNA) Ahmed Al-Mismari said the Government of National Accord (GNA) had ordered some of its Misrata armed groups to attack Dawoon area in eastern Tarhouna, adding that the attack was repelled by the area’s locals, who didn’t even need the support of LNA military units.

Al-Mismari said the armed groups escaped once some of 9th Brigade units started advancing on the area, adding that LNA Air Force’s warplanes followed them and targeted them until they passed Msallata city from which they returned to their previous positions suffering massive loss of fighters.

“GNA has become very reckless after losing hugely in Misrata where the LNA carried out intensified airstrikes on GNA armed groups’ positions.” He added.

Al-Mismari indicated that the GNA’s use of Misrata armed groups for this random military operation means that the GNA is willing to have its fighters killed for the sake of its failed and haphazard adventures.

The LNA’s General Command has renewed its deadline for the Misrata armed groups to leave the Tripoli battle and go back to their city, wishing that the elders of Misrata would move against the extremists who are dragging the city into more destruction.

The General Command warned against believing the rumors on some media outlets that aim to mislead the public, saying the attempts to convince people that GNA armed groups controlled Tarhouna city were a proof for their fake news approach.
