The Turkish Minister of Energy Fatih Donmez said the licenses for exploration activities in the maritime boundaries marked by the latest MoU with Libya’s Government of National Accord will start as soon as possible in the coming months.
The exploration activities are continuing in the Mediterranean region without any delays, he added, according to Anadolu Agency.
Donmez’s remarks on Tuesday came in his visit to gas storage locations in Istanbul, according to Turkish media reports.
The Turkish Parliament has approved very hastily the MoU in security and military cooperation between Ankara and the GNA after one month of the signing and after it had proved the maritime MoU.
The approval of the MoU was passed by 269 yes votes to 125 no ones – AK v.s. CHP differences.
