Turkey reveals its economic goals in Libya

The Independent Businesspersons and Industry Workers Committee in Turkey said Ankara is working on increasing exports to Libya by more thank 571% to achieve 10 billion dollars in comparison to 1.49 billion in 2018.

The Representative of the Committee in Tripoli Murtada Granfil said Turkish exports to Libya include clothes, furniture, foods, car appliances construction supplies and others, saying the exports could go up to 50% worth of 3 billion dollars in 2020.

He added that Libya is the third country to be targeted by Thrkish construction firms over the last years after Russia and Turkmenistan, saying the total sum made out of the projects and contracts amounts to 29 billion dollars – most of them on hold due to clashes.
