Libya’s HoR cancels MoUs and cuts ties with Turkey

The House of Representatives convened Saturday an emergency meeting to discuss the Turkish intervention in Libya as per the MoUs signed with the Government of National Accord in maritime boundaries and military cooperation.

The HoR members voted to send the MoUs to the judiciary on charges of treason, unanimously voting as well to cancel the MoUs that were signed by the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The HoR also voted to withdraw recognition and approval of the Libyan Political Agreement and mandated the General Command of the Libyan National Army to repel the Turkish intervention via land, air and sea.

The HoR members also voted to cut all ties with Turkey and to allocate 20 billion dinars as an emergency budget for the LNA to confront the Turkish intervention.
