Saudi Foreign Ministry: Turkey’s intervention in Libya threatens Arab and regional security

The Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry has rejected the Turkish escalation in Libya after Ankara’s Parliament has agreed to deploy troops to Libya to back up Government of National Accord’s forces against the Libyan National Army.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Turkey’s intervention in Libya is a violation of the Security Council resolutions and an attempt to undermine the UN efforts to resolve the conflict in the country.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry added that Turkish escalation is a threat to Libya and Arav region’s security and is an intervention in the Arab domestic affairs.
