Exclusive sources from inside Syrian Al-Sultan Murad Brigade told 218News that there are some defections in some Syrian brigades and groups under the command of Turkey such as Sluiman Shah, Al-Sultan Murad and Al-Hamzat armed faction, on which Turkey relies to send mercenaries to Libya.
The sources said the withdrawal of the Syrian factions comes after Turkey started to pressure some fighters from the factions to join the mercenaries in Libya’s capital Tripoli as many of them had been rejecting the task despite money motives by Ankara.
The sources told 218News that the pressure includes depriving them from all kinds of aids distributed by the organizations of the Turkish government and threatening them of arresting them on different charges to try them at the courts of the terrorist groups in Idlib or sending them back to the Syrian regime- controlled areas.
Some of the fighters who managed to defect from the Syrian brigades are trying to return to Turkey illegally in order to travel to Europe via the sea.
