Libya’s Presidential Council replaces statement to delete sentence about UN envoy

In not a new incident, the Presidential Council in Libya has deleted a statement about the ceasefire and replaced it with another after removing some phrases from it.

The deleted statement criticized the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame and called on the Security Council member states which took part in Berlin conference to take up their responsibilities for the breaches of the truce that were condemned by Salame but the Presidential Council said Salame can do nothing more than verbal condemnation statements.

In the new statement, the Presidential Council deleted that phrase and said instead said that because of the ceasefire violations, it will reconsider the participation in any upcoming dialogues.
