Russia depicts Syrian fighters moving from Idlib to Libya

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said several Syrian fighters from Idlib are heading to Libya in a blatant violation of the UN Security Council resolutions.

Lavrov said Moscow contacted the Turkish Foreign Minister Mavlut Cavusoglu to inform him of the violations, saying Russia won’t tolerate the Idlib terrorist fighters’ operations.

He added in a joint press conference with South Sudan’s Foreign Minister that the terrorists in Idlib should be dealt with once and for all.

Meanwhile, The Head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) Ramy Abdelrahman has revealed in an interview with 218News the way used by Syrian mercenaries loyal to Ankara to arrive in Libya, saying there are 2600 fighters now in Tripoli.

Ramy Abdelrahman said the number of Syrian mercenaries’ deaths in Tripoli reached 28 on Salah Al-Deen and Al-Ramla frontlines in southern Tripoli.

He added that Turkey opened new recruitment centers in addition to the four existing ones in Afrin, Syria, making the total so far seven centers and Syrian fighters are rushing to them for money in exchange of fighting in Libya.

According to sources, some of the fighters who managed to defect from the Syrian brigades are trying to return to Turkey illegally in order to travel to Europe via the sea.

Some even starting spilling into Algeria in order to use it as a gate to Europe, according to the sources.

The UN envoy told 218News Erdogan was invited to Berlin because he was threatening to send Syrians to Libya. He vowed in Berlin not to intervene or send mercenaries.

Ghassan Salame added that he can now hold Erdogan accountable after the signing of the agreement.
