Russia: Hundreds of Syrian fighters are transported to Libya to join fighting

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said hundreds of fighters from the deesclation zone in Syria’s Idlib are being transported to Libya for fighting.

Lavrov told Rossiyskaya Gazeta that the issue with the deesclation zone in Idlib is the transportation of Al-Nusra and Tahrir Al-Sham fighters to Libya to fight for the Government of National Accord.

He also added that Russia cannot resolve these issues alone and that Moscow is in talks with the Turkish side about them.

The Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan talked on the phone about the need to respect the ceasefire in Libya and implement the Berlin conference conclusions.
