Sailor of Turkish warship bringing wepaons to Tripoli negotiates for “blowing the whistle”

Italian news agency “Nova” has revealed that the Lebanese-flagged ship that was depicted on January 28 coming from Turkey with a Turkish frigate docked at Genoa port in Italy after sustaining a technical fault.

A young sailor on board of the Lebanese ship went to an Italian police station near the Genoa port and vowed to tell the truth about the shipment of the cargo ship, regarding the illegal arms trade between Turkey and Libya, Nova reported.

It added that investigations were still ongoing and the police and concerned authorities could consider the case as crimes of international smuggling of weapons. The ships is still at an Italian port awaiting the final verdict.

218News obtained earlier footage and photos for the arrival of weapons and military vehicles on board a warship at Tripoli port on January 28, which was verified by the spokesman for the Libyan National Army Ahmed Al-Mismari.

He posted the footage on his Facebook page and said the LNA depicted the arrival of weapons on board a Turkish warship to Tripoli port on January 28, which he said was an invasion by Turkey that violates all international laws and the ceasefire agreement in western Libya.
