LNA spokesman: We’re committed to the ceasefire, while Turkish arms arrive in Misrata

The spokesman for the Libyan National Army (LNA) Ahmed Al-Mismari said the General Command is committed to the ceasefire in the western region, but it responds to all violations.

Al-Mismari said in a press conference on Wednesday in Benghazi that the LNA had seized control of over 90% of Libyan territory, adding that LNA forces are capable of ending and winning this battle whenever they see fit.

Al-Mismari said all LNA units are in their positions and are advancing very slowly without using any heavy weapons or aircraft in line with the ceasefire agreement.

He indicated that the GNA forces had attacked Wadi Rabea and Qasir Benghashr densely populated areas with rockets, sonthe LNA responded to the source of fire.

“We cannot stop this battle until we make sure we have achieved the national constants that are demanded by the Libyan people of the LNA.” He added.

Al-Mismari explained that Misrata armed groups sent military reinforcements to Heesha area, one day after a Turkish ship laden with ammunition and arms docked at Misrata port, adding that LNA units are in skirmishes with those armed groups to prevent them from advancing on frontlines.
