The Russian Defense Ministry said Minister Sergey Shoygu met Wednesday with the Libyan National Army’s General Commander Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar in Moscow.
The meeting in Moscow touched upon the ongoing situation in Libya, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
It added that Haftar and Shoygu had agreed on the importance of Russian negotiations that were held in last January in a bid to end the ongoing fighting in Libya.
They also reiterated the importance to implement the Berlin conference conclusions, saying there’s no way by political solutions to end the Libyan crisis and stabilize the country.
