A senior military official at the Libyan National Army revealed that the Turkish officers who are using the military base of Mitiga as their headquarters to gear up the war against the LNA in Tripoli have started to transfer a large part of their work to Misrata.
The military official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the losses suffered by Turkey in Libya, particularly in Mitiga, after the airstrikes carried out by LNA’s Air Force, were behind transferring their work to Misrata.
He also pointed out that the transfer of Turkish officers from Mitiga to Misurata means that Turkey is on the way to actually losing its presence at Mitiga military base in Tripoli.
Meanwhile, the Military Information Division of the General Command announced Wednesday that a number of Turkish officers had fled from Tripoli to the city of Misrata.
