Libyan social media platforms react constructively to 218News hashtag “#Stay_at_home”

Between the spread and decline of the Coronavirus, Libyans are now living in a critical health stage as to dealing with the emerging Coronavirus threat, which has registered its presence in more than 150 countries, without infiltrating into Libya, just yet.

Libyans have so far demonstrated great awareness and commitment through their active participation in disseminating educational advice and guidance through the hashtag (#khalik_in_alhoush) that translates to “#Stay_at_home”, which was circulated by artists, writers, activists, and all those concerned with health and educational affairs in the country.

“218TV” and “218News” TV channels announced the expansion of their media coverage of Coronavirus awareness campaigns on social media platforms that have become the first arena for the latest news, via the hashtag (#Khalik_in_alhoush) to follow the developments of the Coronavirus that has become a major concern in the world and worldwide security and health systems, with some reinforcing military backup to confront it.

The hashtag saw Libyans circulating it through their social media pages in an attempt to spread benefit on a large scale, accompanied by advice and calls to adhere to the precautionary guidelines like avoiding leaving the house except out of necessity and avoiding gatherings as long as possible.

This initiative reflects the Libyans’ keenness to spare the country a serious health slide, and they learned a lesson from countries that, despite having advanced health systems, have not been able to contain the virus completely until this moment.

In line with Libyan precautions to prevent Coronavirus outbreak, the world is racing against the clock to find an antiviral vaccine or treatment that curbs its rapid spread that has made the world look like a small village.
