Senior GNA armed groups’ leader killed in clashes with LNA

Sources in Al-Zawiya city said Nader al-Mahdi Osman, a prominent gunman and the commander of what is known as the “Muhammad Hamza Company” (Al-Isnad Brigade), had been killed.

The sources explained that Osman was killed in clashes with the Libyan National Army units on the frontline of Hadaba Project – Tripoli, on Wednesday noon.

It is noteworthy that Osman had appeared in a “selfie”, boasting about capturing LNA Major General Amer Al-Jumam Al-Urfi while he was next to him, after the latter’s aircraft had been shot down when was carrying out combat missions on December 7, 2019.

It is reported that dozens of leaders of Government of National Accord’s armed groups were killed during the fighting on the outskirts of Tripoli.
