Operation IRINI: An EU threat to Erdogan’s intervention in Libya

Although the Government of National Accord announced, in a previous statement after the announcement of the launch of the Operation IRINI, that it had reserveations about the operation saying it had neglected oversight of the Libyan National Army

Meanwhile, most European countries through their delegates to the United Nations announced welcoming this operation, which imposes an arms embargo to Libya.

The European Operation IRINI, according to previous reports by European Union’s high representative Josep Borrell, and according to press statements by officials in the Government ofNationalAccord, will include monitoring land borders and airspace via satellite, so why does the GNA reject it?

This rejection raises may questions, especially that the Turkish support for the GNA has not stopped, neither by sea nor air, as they are sending Syrian mercenaries via flights from Turkey to Libya and sending equipment and ammunition on board commercial ships.
