The spokesman of the Foreign Ministry for the Government of National Accord, Mohammed Al-Geblawi, said that some of the statements issued by the UN Support Mission in Libya contain several fallacies.
Al-Geblawi said in a press conference that the GNA does not count on UNSMIL, especially in light of the political division in the Security Council between the major countries over the Libyan situation, adding that this negatively and directly affects the work of the mission and undermines its efforts.
He called on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya to work together with the GNA on monitoring and documenting the ongoing war, indicating that the Coronavirus pandemic had a major impact on progress in bringing settlement to the Libyan crisis
The spokesman for the GNA Foreign Ministry said that Coronavirus is not the only problem Libya is facing now, accusing the Libyan National Army of obstructing the political settlement in Libya.
