Forces of the Government of National Accord (GNA) launched an attack with more than 20 rockets on Tarhuna, Saturday night, and according to Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, the rockets fell on civilian houses and caused massive damages.
Residents of Tarhuna are still suffering because of the crippling siege that GNA forces have laid around the city as they cut off electricity and communications to the city over a week ago.
Al-Mismari called on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to assume responsibility and do its duties by condemning “the real terrorists”, noting that the response of the LNA forces is underway.
In addition to the missile attacks, Turkish drones are still targeting several locations in the center of Tarhuna, despite the downing of several drones by the LNA air force
According to sources speaking to 218News, Turkey is preparing to send a new shipment of disassembled drones to Libya so that they can later be assembled immediately upon arrival.
GNA forces launched a major attack on Tarhuna, supported by the Syrian mercenaries a few days ago in an attempt to storm the city, but the attempt was repelled as GNA forces were pushed out of the city’s administrative borders.
Will GNA forces try to strom Tarhuna again, or will the LNA have another say that can end all the attempts of the GNA?
