Macron tells Erdogan: Turkey is playing “a dangerous game” in Libya

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday he had informed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that his country was playing in Libya a “dangerous game” and violating all its obligations under the Berlin conference.

Turkey supports the Government of National Accord with various types of weapons and Syrian mercenaries, numbering more than 15,000, according to the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman.

Macron added, during a press conference with Tunisian President Kais Saied, in Paris that he informed US President Donald Trump of Turkish moves in Libya, calling for the cessation of foreign interventions and unilateral actions by all who claim to have made new gains in Libya.

The French President indicated that he agreed with Saeed on the need to stop the fighting in Libya and return to the table
