LNA welcomes popular mandate to protect Libyans’ resources

The spokesman for the National Army, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, said in an interview on Al-Hadath channel that the General Command is constantly working to preserve the resources of the Libyan people and the companies’ assets, saying it welcomes any popular mandate to protect oil resources.

The movement of Libyan cities and tribes had announced the reopening of oil, confirming in a statement Monday, from Zueitina, the delegation to the General Command of the National Army to communicate with the United Nations and the international community to find solutions to the non-occurrence of oil revenues in the hands of terrorist militias.

After reading the statement, a number of elders and notables confirmed to 218News that the move came in response to the many calls and out of their keenness on the resources of Libyans, which should not be tampered with by the Government of National Accord that used oil revenues to support terrorist groups and mercenaries.

Meanwhile, the head of the Supreme Council for Al-Zawiya Tribes, Sheikh al-Senussi al-Haleeq, said in an interview with 218News that the Libyan tribes delegated the parliament and the national army to lead in this matter, saying they will hold them responsible for all Libyans’ rights to oil and control of revenues so that they do not go to terrorists and militias.
