Al-Kouni to Al-Sarraj and Haftar: Choosing reconciliation is a historic bravery

The member of Presidential Council, Musa Al-Kouni, who resigned a few years ago, has sent a message to the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, Speaker of the House of Representatives Aqila Saleh, and the Commander-in-Chief of the National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, as well as the Head of the High Council of State Khaled Al-Mishri, in which he appealed to them to sit down, dialogue, and resolve differences, and work for a nation that brings everyone together.

Al-Kouni appealed to the four parties in the name of the bereaved, widows, and everyone who lost a person close to them during the war, to sense the seriousness of the situation and the ambiguity of prospects, calling for transforming dialogue and reconciliation into a national tool that would end divisions, and save Libya from bankruptcy, adding that peace is made by the brave and the delinquency of reconciliation is a historical courage.

Al-Kouni added that “if any party was able to defeat the other, this would have been achieved a while ago, but that is impossible, why inflict the continuous loss and the suffocating pain on the country.”

“What would we lose if we met, and we discussed hand in hand the Libyan solution away from the solutions of foreign nations, or their consent.” He added.
